by Linda Loder

February 23, 2007

A Learning Community – every school should want to be one. After all, Learning is what defines an educational institution.  Dr. Richard DuFour defines the Professional Learning Community as requiring that, “the school staff focus on learning rather than teaching, work collaboratively on matters related to learning, and hold itself accountable for the kind of results that fuel continual improvement.”

Over 120 teachers and administrators gathered in Hays on Monday February 19, 2007 to participate in a day-long workshop with Tim Brown from the Missouri Project For Professional Learning Communities.  Listen to a short excerpt from this workshop in this PodCast.
