Annual Event to be Held April 23rd

February 05, 2008

Smoky Hill Education Service Center will host its annual applied Academic and Career Competition on April 23, 2008.  All Kansas high school students enrolled in grades 9-12 may register either individually or as a team and compete in any of these three divisions:

1) Product Development
2) Problem Solving
3) Job Search

The competition is a partnership between SHESC, its 60 plus member school districts, the Salina Area Technical School, the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce, the Salina Human Resource Association, and Access TV.  A combination of grants and student entry fees fund the competition.

AWARDS
1st, 2nd, & 3rd place certificates for each category will be presented to schools for their winning students.
In addition, Salina Area Technical School gives scholarships to winning seniors to further their education at the school.
