Microsoft Software Licensing Program

SHESC Offers Licensing Options

February 05, 2010

Smoky Hill Education Service Center, Computer Solutions, Inc., Bell Industries, and Microsoft have partnered to bring Kansas school districts increased value in their use of Microsoft products.  Two programs--Microsoft School Agreement and Microsoft Academic Select--can reduce a district's overall cost of Microsoft Products while increasing the knowledge and use of these products.

The School Agreement program is a subscription-based licensing program that provides schools the opportunity to acquire all Microsoft server and desktop operating systems and productivity software. School Agreement is a flexible, cost-effective method for schools to license the latest Microsoft technology, while minimizing administration; using the convenience of a single annual payment; and providing the tools to accelerate software deployment and decrease overall costs for schools.
Along with cost savings, School Agreement also includes the benefits of Software Assurance from Microsoft.  To learn more about those benefits click here.

The Microsoft Academic Select License offers educational institutions a flexible, volume-based program designed to help reduce total cost of software ownership. Academic Select makes it easy to acquire licenses for Microsoft products on an ongoing basis and best serves customers able to forecast software needs over time. The program is a great value for any institution needing an extensive product list along with volume purchasing power.  For a list of products and prices available through the Academic Select program, click here.

In addition, the value of software purchases can be enhanced with the Software Assurance option, giving users the opportunity to stay current with all the licensed software.
