Scanning & Scoring Services Available from Smoky Hill ESC
Smoky Hill ESC's scanning and scoring service allows schools to receive fast and accurate reporting for the Iowa Test (ITBS, ITED, CogAT) at an economical price.
The ITBS (K-8) and ITED (9-12) Form A measures the skills and achievement of students from Kindergarten through grade 12. Form A contains all new material and reflects the most up-to-date thinking about curriculum, as represented in current content standards, curriculum frameworks, and instructional materials. All test materials have been extensively field tested for psychometric soundness and evaluated for fairness to gender, racial, ethnic, and cultural groups. Test content was chosen for its appeal and interest to children in order to provide test takers with an engaging and motivating testing experience.
The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) provides an assessment of reasoning skills enabling teachers to specifically gear instructional methods so that all students are provided an appropriate opportunity to learn.
For those schools still using the ITBS and ITED forms K, L, M, Smoky Hill continues to provide the same scanning and scoring service. Services for the TAP (Test of Achievement and Proficiency) are also available.
