SHESC Presents at AESA Conference
The annual AESA Conference was December 3-6, 2014.
At the annual AESA conference, Smoky Hill ESC staff members presented information on how McREL systems are being utilized by Kansas school districts. The session titled Bringing a World of Best Practices and Research-Based Strategies to Local District Teachers and Administrators explained how SHESC supports schools that are using McREL systems. Session Description: Educators today face many challenges as they prepare students for an increasingly competitive, global society. To help meet these challenges, Smoky Hill Education Service Center in Kansas provides its 55 member districts with professional development on the research-based, practice-proven teaching and leading strategies that best meet the needs of today’s students, teachers, and administrators. Gather insight from Smoky Hill ESC on how it partners with McREL International to give its local educators access to world-class, best-practice instructional strategies shown to positively impact student achievement and give principals and instructional coaches a system for supporting classroom use of the strategies.
