Kansas Distance Learning Week is November 10-14
SHESC is a Host Site for Sessions about Veterans & Patriotism
The Kansas Association for Interactive Distance Education (KAIDE) has declared the week of November 10-14, 2008 as Kansas Distance Learning Week. This week coincides with National Distance Learning Week sponsored by the U.S. Distance Learning Association.
To celebrate the achievements of Interactive Distance Learning (IDL) in the state of Kansas, KAIDE is planning a series of interactive learning sessions during the week. These interactive sessions will focus on America's veterans and patriotism since November 11th is Veterans' Day.
Smoky Hill’s Learning and Technology Center located at 830 S. Ninth Street in Salina will serve as a regional host site for the Kansas Distance Learning Week sessions. Participants at the Salina location will be able to view presenters live and ask questions in real time.
Sessions are open to teachers and their classes, students and their parents, and community members.
