Smoky Hill to Host FREE FAFSA Workshop!
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a crucial step for students who wish to access financial aid for college. However, many students and their families find the FAFSA process challenging and may not complete the FAFSA, which can limit their opportunities for enrollment in postsecondary education.
To address this concern, SHESC is hosting a FREE event aimed at helping students and their families complete the FAFSA. This event will provide hands-on assistance, resources, and guidance from a trained financial aid professional. Our goal is to ensure that every student who wishes to attend college has the support they need to take full advantage of the various financial aid options available to them.
Through a grant awarded by the Council for Opportunity in Education, these workshops will be provided at no cost to as many students as possible. There will even be free goodies and giveaways as an incentive for students to attend the workshop and participate!

If you are interested in learning more about the FAFSA but cannot attend in person, a Zoom option is available. Please call 785-825-9185 for the link.
